Hope is essential
Sprinkle it generously

In a world facing the climate crisis, global instability and rising despair, Be Hope is a bold call to action. It’s about turning frustration into momentum and showing that everyday Australians have the power to lead change.

Together, we can spark action, shift the conversation, and push Australia to lead with purpose and conviction.

Turning despair into action

This is a campaign made for this moment.

At a time when the world is defined by the climate crisis, conflict, and deep cuts to overseas aid, it’s easy to feel overwhelmed.

But listen more closely, and a different story emerges.

A woman who survived the 7 July 2005 London bombings now dedicates her life to peace. A former Prime Minister is helping lead global efforts to expand access to life-saving vaccines and strengthen international cooperation. Across the world, people are choosing not despair - but action.

Be Hope is about showcasing these stories - and turning them into a movement.

Real Stories. Real Progress. Real Hope.

Each month, Australians are invited to join the table, a unique national conversation with some of the world’s most inspiring changemakers:

  • Rt Hon Helen Clark, former Prime Minister of New Zealand and global health leader, who has spent decades advancing immunisation and international cooperation, proving what’s possible when the world works together.

  • Dr Gill Hicks AM MBE, who survived the London terrorist attacks and now works tirelessly for peace - at a time when the world needs it more than ever

  • And other extraordinary leaders who show us that progress is not only possible - it is already happening

These are stories of transformation, hope and real-world impact.

They remind us: even in difficult times, humanity is capable of extraordinary things.

What we want to acheive

We will be asking the Australian Government to:

1. Invest in Global Health and Development

Increase Australia’s overseas aid, with a focus on doubling investment in global health - a healthy world is a hopeful world.

2. Be a Global Ambassador

Safeguard and invest in global cooperation and the international rules based order.

3. Increase Climate Ambition

Shift from fossil fuels to a future we believe in.

A Global Idea, Powered in Australia

Be Hope is an Australian campaign, built for this moment - and shaped for our role in the world.

It pairs with the Be Hope movement in the UK, which brings together some of the world’s most influential voices, including Rory Stewart, Alastair Campbell, Anthony Scaramucci, and Christiane Amanpour.

Through powerful storytelling and wide-reaching platforms, Be Hope elevates a simple but urgent message: hope, backed by action, can drive real change.

The Australian chapter builds on this momentum.

Because while this is a global moment, Australia’s voice and action as an influential middle power, has never mattered more.
